USA Volleyball Age Requirements
2019-2020 USA Volleyball Age Divisions:
18's division:
Player who was born on or after September 1, 2000 and is a high school student during some part of the current academic year.
Once a player participates in a club or varsity program for any university, college, community college, or junior college, she is ineligible to play in any Regional or National JOVC qualifying and Championship events.
17's division: Players who were born on or after September 1st, 2002
16's division: Players who were born on or after September 1st, 2003
15's division: Players who were born on or after September 1st, 2004
14's division: Players who were born on or after September 1st, 2005
13's division: Players who were born on or after September 1st, 2006
12's division: Players who were born on or after September 1st, 2007
Age 9-11 (2006,2007,2008) play in the 12 & under division in New England
Age divisions are mandated by USA Volleyball (governing body) and are not negotiable. Players are allowed to play "up" in age but not "down". Look for month and year of birth in the list below to determine proper age division.
Players may tryout for more than one age division. If a player chooses to do this, they should attend both age division tryouts sessions so all coaches will see them. Player will use same tryout number (t-shirt) and registration (only pay one tryout fee).
